Shepton Snowdrops Festival
A packed programme: 2024 Shepton Snowdrops Festival
The week-long Shepton Snowdrop Festival returns once again in February 2024 with an exciting programme. Galanthophile, gardener, plant collector, or lovers of beautiful things – there’s something at the Festival to suit all. The range of workshops, talks and walks is greater than ever before. As it’s February half term, Festival organisers have included creative activities and drama workshops for children and families, all of them free.
Once again, walks, talks and garden visits are a strong feature of the 2024 Festival programme thanks to partner gardens and Shepton Walks.
The global reach of the 2023 Poetry Competition inspired Festival Organisers to commission a ‘Found Poetry’ community workshop for 2024. Led by author and poet, Polly Hall, participants in the workshop will create a poetry trail on buildings around the town centre. Another art and words project commissioned by the Festival will create a gigantic installation in the Georgian Baptist Chapel, the venue for the Poetry Competition Prize Giving.
The Festival runs from Monday 12th to Sunday 18th February, with core events on Friday and Saturday. The full programme and booking details for workshops, talks and walks are available on www.sheptonsnowdrops.org.uk
